After obtaining both a bachelor of civil law and a bachelor of common law from McGill University in Montreal, Ayman was called to the Bar of Quebec, Canada in 2006. He went on to article and work for two large law firms before joining the international engineering giant SNC-Lavalin to manage its disputes and litigation matters worldwide.
Ayman has experience in administrative disputes, arbitration matters and litigation on five continents. He has pleaded before all levels of the courts of Quebec up to and including the Quebec Court of Appeal and has played a significant role on files brought to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ayman has worked on several high profile cases related to investigations into anti-competitive behavior or corruption. He has also worked on public commissions of inquiry, major insurance litigation files, large restructuring and insolvency disputes as well as consumer rights matters. Earlier in his career, Ayman worked extensively on shareholder and other corporate stakeholder disputes and has a deep understanding of the impact of criminal and commercial issues on director’s liabilities.
Fluent in French and English, Ayman can also converse in Arabic. He has traveled extensively in North America, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
